Cars & Sedans

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s, top five inches.

  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 50% of light in.

  • Back Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

  • Rear Window: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

SUV & Vans

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line.

  • Front Side windows: Must allow 50% of light in.

  • Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used.

  • Rear Window: Any level of darkness can be used.

Washington D.C.

Cars & Sedans

  • Windshield: Non-reflective 35% tint is allowed on the AS-1 line or top 5 inches of the windshield.

  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

  • Back Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

  • Rear Window: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

SUV & Vans

  • Windshield: Non-reflective 35% VLT tint is allowed on the AS-1 line or top 5 inches of the windshield.

  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.
